The charger for my computer is no longer functioning, so I am left with an expensive piece of technology as a paperweight. It will be at least a week before the replacement arrives, likely longer given the state of the USPS and the fact that we’re in Alaska, aka a “Bermuda Triangle” of packages.
This comes at a time when I was really starting to amp up my personal workflows and productivity making heavy use of my computer. I was in the process of writing a post about it, in fact, before this happened. That will come soon and will hopefully be the first of many related posts as well.
Oddly enough, a few years ago this wouldn’t have bothered me so much. In fact, for a while my main “computer” was just my iPhone. I was even going to school at the time and was still able to write, edit, and print papers and assignments with just the phone. It wasn’t a perfect setup, though, as doing more in depth research and notetaking, especially academically, really needed a bigger screen and applications based on computer, but I managed quite well.
In any case, it looks like I’ll be spending more time on mobile, as well as on my Kindle, reading more (which is always a good thing). Oh, and maybe getting some paperwork under control, too.
